I have had ups and downs with my dogs. Most of it was because I was learning how to care for them. It is pretty easy to raise one pup. But it gets challenging when you have more than two. One of the things that I learned which helped my dogs significantly was regular excercise. I don't mean walking them on a leash either. Taking the dogs to a wide open area where they can chase butterflies, point and smell the world. Allow them to run their hearts out. Of course, you must be wise about temperature. I run my dogs on 20 acres late in the evening or early in the morning.
Fresh water and a good grade dog food. Keep in mind that the amount of training can dictate which grade of dog food is the right one to give your pet. Also, for those of you who have had diet problems with you dog, hang in there. There is a right brand for your pet. I would be glad to share information on this topic.
